know what's in between. That's right, River Oaks Golf Club.

introduce yourself; I would like to meet you. If you are looking
for a club to join you must play River Oaks and meet some
of our members. We really have a great group and I know you will
have a good time.
As president, Gary presides as chairperson at all meetings of the club and board of directors; to see that the bylaws and
other such rules and regulations of the club are properly and equitably enforced; calls special meetings as necessary;
reports to the board of directors and to the membership of the club any infractions by members or a group thereof;

Ted Gallagher, Treasurer
Ted Gallagher joined River Oaks (formerly Rio La
Paz) the first time he saw it. He proudly carries his #1 membership
card. Ted is hoping to have his wife, Mary, get in to the
game as well, since her sister recently joined River Oaks
and will likely be at the course quite often. Ted and his
sons (Ryan and Sean, also members) play most weekends and
believe that River Oaks is the "perfect" walking
course.
Ted is responsible for maintaining the club checkbook, paying all bills that are submitted
and as authorized by the president and/or tournament director, and to retain vouchers for bills submitted.

Mary Daby ,
Tournament Director
Mary has been actively involved at River Oaks Golf Club since
joining in 2000. An inaugural member of the Advisory Board to the owners and
management of River Oaks and now as your tournament director, Mary plans the
tournaments and most of the social functions of the club. But if you are around her,
be sure to refer to our club as the "golf" club not the "men’s" club or "women’s" club or,
as a strong believer in equality for both men and women in golf, Mary may send you to
the "forward" or "championship" bathroom to have your mouth washed out with soap.
Mary is responsible in arranging, and is in charge of, all tournaments, matches and events of
similar character in which the club may engage; to present trophies and prizes won in
tournaments, and to ensure that notification of tournaments are available to members
thirty days in advance of tournament dates. Mary is responsible for collecting all monies relating to
tournaments. Mary also maintains a journal relating to tournament income and expenses to
assist the treasurer with preparation of the year-end statements.
